Named after real estate developer Daniel Webster Carmichael in 1909 Carmichael has an elevation of 125 ft., is 17 square miles, has a zip code population of 72,000. It has one of only two regional libraries in Sacramento County. This Sacramento suburb is full of family-friendly neighborhoods, some neighborhoods have a high river view. There are subdivisions but many homes are on big lots with a rural feel.
