Fair Oaks Village - One of the unique features of the Fair Oaks community is the charming village of old Fair Oaks located east of Sunrise Boulevard between Winding Way and Fair Oaks Boulevard. There are several shops, restaurants and an old fashioned hardware store. |

The mascots of the village are the many chickens which roam freely throughout the streets. They add a colorful touch and sound to the village ambiance. If you follow Fair Oaks Boulevard to the end it turns into Bridge Street which will lead you to the Fair Oaks Bridge across the American River. This bridge was built in the early 1900's has been closed to auto traffic since 1967, but gives pedestrians a wonderful view of the river and access to beaches on the other side. |
